I have just returned from the future and I like it.

No, it's more than that. I love the tiny smidgen of future I saw on Monday as only a guy can who grew up on rocket-powered cars of the future that never came to fruition and on a belief that Star Trek was a blueprint for the immediate future.


So we don't have warp drive. But we do have computers, communicators and what I just saw - and still can't quite get my mind around - in a carpeted, blank-faced building on the sprawling American Honda campus in Torrance.
